Common Sense Suggestions for Developing Multimodal UI

Checkout this interesting one, by Jim Larson of Intel, on Commonsense Suggestions for Multimodal User Interface,

http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/NOTE-mmi-suggestions-20060911/

If i remember correctly, not of MM but for VoiceApps dirk (of JvoiceXml) has prepared a survey for VUI, for some fact-finding from user perspective, what problems users are facing while using SpeechApps and survey was having detailed question.

before that T.V.Raman of IBM (Currently in Google) has also put some thought on UI principle for Multimodal Design,

Google and Ebay on Advertising and Click-to-Call

During my reading of news and blogs, i found this,
http://www.google.com/press/pressrel/ebay.htm

Before few days on spkydog's blog there is rumor on Google & Tellme pointing to ,
http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/rich-tehrani/voip/google-buys-tellme.html

which was a bit indication/rumor of Google has some plan on Telephony etc, and people keeping watch on GoogleTalk's Birthday (24-aug)for some announcement.

Here are one blog entry you may find interesting,
http://jktb-john.blogspot.com/2006/08/while-i-believe-it-is-smart-move-for.html

anyway Voice/Video Advertising seems to be new innovative market, and Voice may play vital role to convert (likely) customer from "desire to purchase" to actual "buyer".
